Element 1 (8 days: Kenya)
Days 1-8: Experience the animal kingdom up close like never before. After stopping in Nairobi, embark on a private safari in the breathtaking Safari Park of Kenya. Next to the Masai Mara Park, a part of the Serengeti, the guided safari leads into and through the Nakuru- Amboseli- and Tsavo West National Parks. See the Big Five close up. TRAVEL PROFILE: Taking a hiatus from work. Up to this point, had traveled a lot around Europe. Now they would like to see the rest of the world and have decided that if they are going to do it, they should do it right. The trip should begin in Africa and South America. ITINERARY:
Element 2 (12 days: Kilimanjaro expedition on the Marangu Route and Zanzibar, Tansania)
Days 8-20: After taking a breather in an incredible Lodge, begin the private expedition climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. Enjoy the individual and professional guided hike with a day for acclimatization, reaching the peak at 5,896 meters (19,341 ft) on day 5. Following the return, a stay at the resort on the island of Zanzibar provides rest and relaxation.
Element 3 (7 days: South Africa)
Days 20-27: Drive along the unique coast of South Africa on the spectacular Garden Route, stopping at one beautiful lodge after another. Enjoy the enchanting coves and magnificent vineyards along the road leading to the sprawling city of Cape Town where the South African cuisine and hospitality are waiting to impress.
Element 4 (8 days: Namibia)
Days 27-35: After experiencing the exciting safari and its animal kingdom, the highest mountain in Africa and the South African coast line, it's time to explore another type of landscape: the desert and dunes in Namibia, Kalahari, the Namib Nature Reserve and Solitaire. Trek through the villages with San People/Bushmen as guides and float peacefully in a hot air balloon over the sand dunes while admiring the indescribable colors of the sunset.
Element 5 (14 days: Argentina)
Days 35-49: Stop at the Iguazu Falls, which border both Brazil and Argentina, then continue on the route to El Calafate in Patagonia. Some of the highlights along this route include the Perito Moreno Glacier and a day trip over the border to Chile in the Torres del Paine National Park. Embark on the cruise ship in Ushuaia, the southern most city on the South American continent and sail around Cape Horn up to Punta Arenas, Chile.
Element 6 (14 days: Peru)
Days 49-63: Discover Lima up close and personal, then take off to Arequipa where the Colca Canyon is located and the Andean condors can be seen at close range as they fly past the canyon walls. Take time to see Lake Titicaca, visit the Uros Floating Islands and a take a kayaking tour, all of which offer incredible and unforgettable experiences. Finish up by exploring the Andes via the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu on the way to Cusco.
Element 7 (9 days: Lesser Antilles / Caribbean)
Days 63-72: Curacao and Aruba - the names alone promise magnificent beaches, turquoise water and a relaxed atmosphere. This picturesque sanctuary provides perfect conditions to allow the mind to wander and re-live the last few weeks with closed eyes in the warm sunshine. Use the rental car to drive around both islands for some relaxing sightseeing.
